About

The foundation history of the University of Portsmouth dates back to Victoria Era, and since then, the university has emerged as a leader promoting ground-breaking research and education for change. The university's contribution to research in physics and Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Nursing, and Pharmacy has been rated as internationally exceptional and world-leading. The University of Portsmouth is one among the four universities from South-East rated gold in the Government Teaching Excellence Framework. The university has two campuses, namely the Langstone campus and the university quarter. Portsmouth comprises five faculties, which are further divided into 29 departments. The faculties are as follows: Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Health, Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, and Faculty of Technology. The university offers over 200 undergraduate degrees, 150 postgraduate degrees, and 65 research degree programs. Additionally, student-led organizations like sports and athletic clubs, media groups, and societies give opportunities to students to expose themselves to activities outside academia, providing room for wholesome development.
