About

The University of Arkansas, also known as U of A, was established in 1871 and was the first public institution in the state. The university offers 200 academic programs through its ten colleges and schools. It has been described as one of the highest research activities exhibiting America's college by the Carnegie Foundation. All the education programs are recognized for their practical approach and quality of teaching. There are 99 undergraduates, 91 master's, 36 doctoral, and 33 graduate programs available—the college boasts a long glorifying history of achievements through its alumni. The prestigious Fulbright scholarship was devised by J. William Fulbright, a graduate and former president of the University of Arkansas. Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton also marked the beginning of their respective careers by teaching law at U of A. The university has a deep-seated tradition of engraving names of its graduates on the sidewalks, so if you are to graduate from U of A, there are 4 inches at sidewalks waiting for your name to be carried until eternity.
