DIALECTS (Desensitizing Indian Abhorrence for Languages other than English, Cultivating Tolerance for Sociolects) is club founded by me and five of classmates dedicated to mothertongue. We as club intend to enhance our proficiency of our mothertongue language and strive to stay connected to our roots. We accomplish our motive through conducting fun activities and events for the students and teachers at our school. We try to make learning fun. Until now, we have conducted total of five events. During the launch of the club we conducted some written games. For example, we asked the audience to write down an answer to varied in their mothertongue language. Then we went on conducting a special assembly for Marathi language. As our school is stated in Maharashtra, we need to proficient in Marathi and as it is the mothertongue of most of the students we selected it as the first language to focus on. During this one, we conducted quizzes based on songs, movies and fun riddles for the teachers, had a winning team and gave them a prize. One out of the remaining events, my personal favorite is when we conducted a games session. In this session we actually played games which we used to play as kids. And how did we inculcate our mothertongue? Well, different states and cultures have different types of games, we collected those and had a fun hour playing games. This is how our club works, we inculcate various ideas to make one and aim to enhance our mothertongue.
